How a Parlei gets built.
A Parlei is only as good as what you give it — so the build is deliberate. You decide what it knows, how it sounds, and what it’s allowed to say. Here’s the whole process.
Tell it about yourself
Start with an intake conversation: your work, your projects, your offers, the questions people always ask you. Already keep this somewhere — a site, a deck, long chats with ChatGPT or Claude? Paste it in and go.
Add what you’ve already made
Your links, your writing, your talks, your pages. This is the material your Parlei answers from — your words, not invented ones.
Tune the voice
Decide how it speaks about you: warm or brisk, detailed or short. It always talks about you in the third person — it speaks for you, never as you.
Review and approve
Read what your Parlei will say before anyone else does. You approve the source material and the rules. If you didn’t say it, your Parlei doesn’t say it.
Go live and stay in charge
Share your parlei.to link. Update it whenever your work changes, and review conversations whenever you like. Your Parlei, your rules.
What a visitor gets
Most conversations end with the visitor served — an answer found, a link handed over, nobody’s calendar involved. Like this:
Visitor: Does she take on workshop clients in the fall, and what does that usually cost?
Her Parlei: She does — fall dates usually open in June. Her workshop page lists the format and current pricing; here’s the link. If you want to see how she runs them, this talk is the best place to start.
Visitor: Great, that answers it. Thanks!
And what you get
After a conversation, your Parlei leaves you a short note — one of several things it hands you, alongside the answer the visitor already got. A quiet heads-up, not a control room.

Someone planning a fall team offsite asked about your workshops. They got the workshop page, current pricing, and your conference talk.
They mentioned a 40-person team and a September date. If that’s interesting, they left an email and said they’d love to hear from you.
